Andersen replacement sash balancer is used on narroline double hung windows manufactured from 1968 to 2012. Each window has two balancers i recommend replacing both even if only one is broken. The balancer number is a code for the tension and the cord length. Find your balancer by selecting your window sash visible glass width and height in the grid below.

Used with 1852 1856 even 2042 2046 24310 2832 and 30210 units with tempered glass. We recommend that you replace both balancers along with the window side jamb liners. Andersen has a chart for identifying which balancer to order. Andersen 200 series tilt wash balancers are located on the sides of both the upper and lower window sash.

All my windows use the 939 narroline. You need to know the visible glass size width and height of the lower sash to identify the balancer number. A balancer or window counter balance maintains the position of your window sash. If you have andersen double hung narroline windows that were manufactured between 1968 and 2012 that will not open or stay open then the sash balances may be broken and need to be replaced.
